La Passion Hotel

La Passion Hotel

Our history is all about Passion!

"We can really say that between the house and us, it was love at first sight, although it wasn't exactly what we had been looking for in terms of size and condition and even if it involved changing all our plans."

This is how the owners describe their first encounter with this 18th century palace, which they successfully succeeded in transforming into the charming hotel it is today.

"The aged landlady told us about how her grandfather transformed the house in the late 19th century. No matter how unethical for this time, he divided the house in two, so as to accommodate his divorced wife into one half of the house, which is today, our next-door neighbour's house."

This illustrates how eccentric the first owner of this house was, who did not hesitate either to import a monumental granite stairway directly from Italy to Cartagena, mixing Colonial and Republican style elements until reaching the perfect balance.

"It naturally became our duty to follow up on the house's spirit, restoring and modernizing the house, making sure we respected the delicate equilibrium that seemed pretty difficult for us to achieve."

"Fortunately, our clientele, worldwide press articles about the hotel and awards, help us realize that we managed to fulfill our goal."
